Better in Private

I few creative lines came to me today and I combined them and created a poem. As I was writing it down I thought about sharing it with someone to workshop it since I’m not too good with poetry.

But I thought better of it. I’m sure a lot of writers will suggest showing your work to other people to get some feedback, but there are some things that are better left in the privacy of your own journal. Some things should be left untouched. Not because the nature of the content isn’t appropriate, or it’s looked down upon but, because it’s not the right time.

The material is too intimate and needs to simmer for a while. So I’m going to let this simmer for a while.
