Almost my FIRST — Latina Point

My brother called last night because it was raining and he wanted a ride from the train station. My parents were sleeping but my dad got to the phone before I did. Once I heard what was going on I offered my services.

Me: Want me to pick him up? I can drive over there, you don’t have to get up…I’m ready to go.

Dad: Start up the car.

Me (thoughts): YES! Get to drive for the first time ALONE, AT NIGHT, WHILE IT’S RAINING!! I have their trust!!!!

Dad: I’m going with you

Me: -_-

I was soooo close. It was a good thing he came along though. My moms car doesn’t light up in the inside so I couldn’t see where to turn on the wipers, and I never had to turn on the lights so I had a hard time with that too. I probably wouldn’t have made it very far…

But there will be more rainy days and I’ll be sure to get the phone this time.
