Spartan Sprint Race 2015
This is me smiling through the Sandbag Carry.
A few months ago I signed up for a Blink membership, my first gym membership. I decided I was going to start working out, not only for me, but also to conquer my first ever Spartan Race. The Tri-State NY Spartan Sprint was 4.7 miles long and had about 23 obstacles.
I worked out for about a month and a half then took a long break, then went back for about 2 weeks before the race. I managed to successfully get through all but 4 of the obstacles. It was the most physically challenging, intense, exciting thing I’ve ever done. I got through it with the help of my team The Liam Neesons, and now I can’t wait to start training for the Spartan Super.
If you’re looking to truly push your body to it’s limits, and see what you can do, I highly recommend doing a spartan race. I guarantee you will be surprised by what your body can handle. It took our team about 5 hours to complete, but we did it, and we finished together!
I’m so proud of myself and my teammates for finishing it on our first try. And I feel super confident about keeping up a healthier lifestyle.
