Glasses

I loathe these crazy trends that come about every year. For as long as I could remember glasses were dorky. Nothing to envy. The more subtle, thin, and smaller they were, the better. Well apparently obnoxiously large, thick, black glasses are “in”. Now it’s hip.

But of course this can’t be simple. You can’t just purchase any ‘ol thick black glasses and consider yourself cool. No it doesn’t work that way. They must be a certain shape, otherwise they will do nothing for you. I have a pair. They are a “normal” rectangular shape. I didn’t buy them because of any trend. I’ve worn glasses since I was in 1st grade and I’ve learned that the wire ones tend to bend and bug out after a while. So I decided to get some plastic ones that will probably last longer. (I was right)

Anyways mine clearly aren’t cool. How do I know? Well I barely get a glance when I wear them. But let me wear my contacts and all of a sudden men find their manners and start opening doors. Straight up bull. There’s no winning, according to society I’m only attractive without glasses. If I must wear glasses then they have the be the right kind. Anything else just isn’t flattering.

Well I like my glasses a lot more than I do my contacts.

  • I don’t tear up when I put them on
  • I don’t have to buy any products for them
  • I can fall asleep with them on without worrying about my eyes burning like hell in a few hours
  • I can study with them for as long as I want without my eyes getting hazy.

Glasses are, in my opinion way better than contacts. I’m used to them, I love them and I will wear them more often.

Contacts are fine, but when it comes to daily use….glasses are where it’s at.
