Unexpected Message

I got on the train today and immediately noticed a guy smiling at me. So I walked in the opposite direction and just stood next to the doors. After a few stops I realized he kept looking at me, but I forgot all about it when the train started getting crowded.

About 40 minutes later I’m still on the train and I see he’s making his way out of the train. When he passes me, he taps me on the elbow and says “everything will be alright girl” and walks out. Then he takes a few steps back and stands there looking at me while other people enter the train. The doors close and he’s still looking at me with a concerned expression on his face.

I was completely shocked by this entire situation. On one hand I really needed to hear those words. But on the other hand it was a tad bit creepy.

Either way I regret not saying thank you. Because it actually made me feel better to hear that.
