Positivity
Today has been one of those good-for-no-particular-reason days. Definitely been in a really good mood, despite my aching feet, my mishap on Monday, and the endless list of stuff I have to do. On top of that I started making a real connection with the kids in my 2nd grade class. I helped a lot of them out, had tons of fun, and read aloud to them again. It was fantastic.
Silly Moment: A little boy washed his hands and stood in front of one of the fans to dry them. I asked him what he was doing? (we had plenty of paper towels) And he responded “paper towels are bad for the environment”. I started smiling like crazy. That was the most grown up answer I’ve ever heard.
All their little quirks are so overwhelming sometimes. I’m always surprised…one little girl (who’s secretly my favorite) just walked up to me and hugged my leg. I almost shed a tear. She had absolutely no motive for that. She just wanted to hug me. I’m such a sucker for stuff like that.
I’m incredibly excited for the rest of this semester!
