Crippled

I won’t generalize because I know not all men are like this. But recently I’ve noticed that quite a few men have this incredibly annoying habit of asking for help. No matter how small the task is, they need some assistance. Now maybe they have the urge to give orders because it makes them feel important. Maybe they just don’t realize it. Either way it’s become an epidemic.

Example #1: My dad was cleaning the grill. I was helping my brother clean the backyard. My dad walked out the house with only a brush in his hand, KNOWING he was going to clean the grill. For the next 10 minutes he asked me to go into the house for a rag, then again for some cleaner, then to open the hose…etc. I am CLEARLY doing something, why can’t you walk 10 feet to get what you need?? I just don’t understand.

I’m not selfish and I don’t mind doing favors for people but I hate helping SLACKERS. My mother always told me not to bother people. So I try not to ask for help. I try to do things on my own because I hate bothering people. That doesn’t mean I never ask for help, but I don’t do it every single day for every single task.

What really frustrates me is when people do things half way and then ask me to finish it. And not for any particular reason either, just because they feel like they’ve done enough and someone else should help out……..really?

Ugh I’m easily angered that’s probably why these small things piss me off. You know my brother (the one who still thinks we live in the 80’s) says I’m not going to find a husband with this attitude. And you know what, THANK the LORD! Being a wife is a big job all ready, I don’t need to be your mother too.
