Trust Issues?

When it comes to trusting people I’m hardly ever in between. Either I trust your word or I don’t. It’s probably because I’m pretty certain of who my friends are and who are only acquaintances.

But that’s not the point of this post. I just thought I’d throw that in there. What I really want to talk about is what I saw this morning.

When I came out the train station I saw a man standing behind a table of bagels. He was giving out bagels with cream cheese. I was starving but I was late to work. My lateness wasn’t the reason I kept walking though. I could have easily scarfed down that bagel on the walk to work. But a random man giving out free food is just too nice for my taste. There’s probably a catch, like I have to sign some petition. I also have no idea where those bagels came from. Unless the food is wrapped (in a factory) or closed (a can of Redbull) I refuse to take it. And even then I’m a bit hesitant. Well not in the case of the Rebull, but that’s because I can’t survive school without it.

How sad is it that we have to doubt a random act of kindness. I should have taken that bagel…I’m super hungry now.
