Saturday From Hell

Today I shed tears, I laughed, and even drank some Black Label to calm my frustrations.

I woke up somewhat early, walked 10 minutes to Home Depot in the blazing sun, got some paint, got bit by a mosquito, then walked all the way back home.

I climbed over my furniture and stood in very awkward positions while I gave my entire room a second coat of paint. My AC almost gave up on me but it pulled through. There were 2 flies who teased me for several hours until they had a tragic death.

Then my brother and I began to rip off my disgusting carpet. For some strange reason there was another carpet right under it. I figured we might as well take that one off too and just stay with the wooden floor no matter how scratched it may be. Well to my surprise I had no floor….yea let that sink in….give it another minute. Ok I shall repeat. I HAD NO FLOOR! It looked like a floor, but it had so many gaps and crap that it was more of patches of wood placed together (and not well). So I didn’t take out the second carpet. Now I have a slightly less disgusting carpet in my newly painted room.

I still need to paint my borders and doors, and put most of my stuff back in the room. But ATLEAST I have a beautiful peach room. My room is incredibly bright compared to the ugly blue that I had before, and the brightness does wonders for my mood.

I am extremely exhausted and it kills me that I have so much to do tomorrow, but I’m so happy and so thankful that all this got done. I couldn’t have done it without my brother. I know I’ve been mentioning him a lot lately but he’s been so helpful and has kept me motivated that I just can’t leave him without any credit.

Thanks for listening.
