Turn the other cheek...not yet.

You can ask questions and make statements that are inquisitive. Where you’re just trying to understand the person’s feelings and why they are saying the things they are. However, you can ask those same questions, make those same statements, and have it sound like you’re attacking the person’s morals, belittling them and questioning their intelligence…all of this can happen without raising your voice and without using profanity. You just need to change your tone slightly, and possibly how quickly you respond…

I can tolerate this for a small moment. Then I lose it. What’s sets me off the edge? When the listening stops, and my words are jumbled and dissected by the other person. After that it’s all non-sense and things become personal. I throw all strategies aside and let my temper take over. I join the nonsense and let all intelligence and class disintegrate. It’s a sad sight.

Either I’m too sensitive or other people just aren’t aware of their affect on me. Como sea, my blood boils. My pride won’t let me take a step back.
