What's a sale?

So I heard JC Penny was having a sale today until 1pm, and I clipped a coupon that would save me $10 on top of that. So I went with the goal of buying bed sheets. I got two sets, each for $15.99 when they originally were $30. Then I get $10 off with the coupon, so it ends up being $21.95 with tax. I saved $40!!! Mind you I was prepared to pay $50 for ONE set.

Well then I figured I drop by H&M since it was near by. I thought I’d buy one thing…I bought 3 and spent $40…nothing I bought was necessary.

Then I think, hmmm I need lotion. There goes another $10.

So the sale didn’t help me save, it actually encouraged me to spend $20 more. And now I won’t have lunch money for the upcoming week. Darn you H&M!
