Real World
I’ve been very calm lately. Getting things done on time and efficiently. Unfortunately today I experienced some discouraging news. The track I was hoping to follow until graduation won’t provide me with the skills I need to reach my goal. So now I have to rely on quite a few variables to get me out of this limbo. I’ve taken the initiative to write out a few career options and I just finished making a pretty important decision. I’m praying all turns out well.
You know I always think about what every professor says “do what you love.” That sounds really nice and I agree you should study what you have a passion for. However, what if that won’t get you a job. It’s not all about the money but I’m not trying to set my self back financially. I’m trying to get somewhere.
So I asked myself, what I would study if money wasn’t a factor. I said, Creative Writing. Then I thought what’s another thing I love? My answer…children. Now to strategically fit that together into a major and minor. Weighing my options…
