They don't know how to motivate...

I think it’s crazy that my parents think getting a husband is a good motivation for anything. Both my parents and every Hispanic that knows I can’t cook, tells me I should learn or else I won’t ever find a husband. Yes I’m 19 and I can’t make a complete meal, I understand this is a problem. However, my motivation for learning to cook will be to feed myself.  I couldn’t care less if the way to a man’s heart is food. This goes for any other household chore. I’ll be able to do everything necessary around the house, because I’ll be on my own one day and I’ll need those skills, if my husband happens to like that it’s a plus.
